Trump Defends Xi Jinpings Visit, Claims Financial Gains for America from China

President Trump asserts that the U.S. is now profiting from trade with China, highlighting Xi Jinpings recent visit as a sign of strong ties.

Washington, October 15 (Daily Kiran) : President Donald Trump has come out in defense of hosting Chinese President Xi Jinping at the White House, stating that the United States is now reaping significant financial benefits from its relationship with China. During a rally in Bullhead City, Arizona, on Wednesday, Trump emphasized that the U.S. is making “a lot of money” from China, contrasting this with previous years when the country faced substantial trade losses.

He remarked on the personal rapport between the two leaders, noting that Xi’s recent visit is indicative of mutual respect. “We are doing very well with China now. We are making money from them,” Trump said, adding that the dynamics of trade have shifted positively for the U.S.

Trump pointed out that Xi’s 21-hour flight to the U.S. is a significant gesture of respect, suggesting that such a long journey is not taken lightly. “Our meeting was fantastic,” he noted, though he did not provide details on any agreements reached or the basis for his claims about trade benefits.

On the topic of technology, Trump asserted that the U.S. is leading the world, especially in artificial intelligence, which he now refers to as “super intelligence.” He stated, “We are ahead of everyone. Sometimes it can be very super, and we need to keep an eye on that.”

Recently, Trump convened leaders from major technology companies at the White House, some of whom attended a dinner in honor of Xi. However, he did not disclose the names of any companies or executives present.

As he appealed for Republican support ahead of the upcoming elections on November 3, Trump reiterated his proposal to provide Americans with $5,000, contingent on maintaining Republican control in Congress. He emphasized that this money should be spent within the United States.
