
Mumbai, March 26: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the schedule for international domestic matches for the senior men’s team for the 2026-27 season. This upcoming season promises to be thrilling, featuring four visiting teams: West Indies, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, and Australia, competing in various formats. A total of 22 international matches will be held across 17 cities, providing cricket fans nationwide with an opportunity to witness top-tier international cricket.
International matches will return to M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru for the first time since the Test match against New Zealand in October 2024. Notably, Guwahati’s Barsapara Cricket Stadium will host a Test match in the Border-Gavaskar series for the first time.
The season will kick off with the West Indies tour of India. From September 27 to October 17, both teams will play a three-match ODI series followed by a five-match T20 series. The ODI matches will take place in Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati, and New Chandigarh, while the T20 matches will be held in Lucknow, Ranchi, Indore, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru.
Following this, India will host Sri Lanka from December 13 to 27. This ‘white-ball’ series will consist of three ODIs and three T20 matches. The ODIs will be played in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad, while the T20 matches will occur in Rajkot, Cuttack, and Pune.
At the start of the new year, Zimbabwe will tour India. During this visit, a three-match ODI series will take place from January 3 to 9 in Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.
The 2026-27 season will conclude with the highly anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, scheduled from January 21 to March 3. The first match of this Test series will be held in Nagpur, followed by matches in Chennai, Guwahati, Ranchi, and Ahmedabad.
