Banda Administration on High Alert for Bakrid Celebrations

Banda, May 27: The Banda district administration in Uttar Pradesh is fully prepared to ensure that the Bakrid festival is celebrated peacefully and in an organized manner. Ahead of the festival, a district-level peace committee meeting was held, involving administrative officials, the police department, and representatives from various communities to discuss necessary arrangements.

Additional District Magistrate Kumar Dharmendra stated that, in addition to the district level, all sub-district magistrates have conducted peace committee meetings in their respective jurisdictions. During these meetings, directives were issued to relevant departments to maintain cleanliness, ensure a supply of drinking water, electricity, and other essential services during Bakrid.

ADM Kumar Dharmendra made it clear that the sacrifice of any banned animals will not be permitted, and open-air sacrifices are strictly prohibited. The administration has issued strict instructions to ensure law and order is maintained during the festival, preventing any disturbances.

He also mentioned that coordination will be established between the municipality and event organizers for the proper disposal of remains after the sacrifices. The administration aims to maintain cleanliness throughout the district and ensure that the public does not face any difficulties.

The issues and suggestions raised by attendees during the peace committee meeting have been taken seriously. The ADM noted that the concerns discussed will be forwarded to the relevant departments and officials, with directives to resolve them within two days.
