Baloch Raj Aajoie Sangar Claims Responsibility for Deadly Attack on Pakistan Army Base in Balochistan; 22 Soldiers Allegedly Killed

Islamabad, August 4 (H.S.) – The Baloch nationalist armed coalition Baloch Raj Aajoie Sangar (BRAS) has claimed responsibility for a major attack on the Pakistan Army’s central camp in Matin Goran area of Panjgur district, Balochistan. In a bold statement, BRAS alleged that at least 22 Pakistani soldiers were killed and more than 14 others, including Captain Osama, were wounded in the assault.

According to The Balochistan Post, BRAS spokesperson Baloch Khan stated that the attack was carried out on Friday evening around 6 PM, when fighters from the group launched a coordinated assault from three directions on the army’s 91 Wing central camp and adjacent posts. The intense clash reportedly lasted for over two hours, during which the insurgents claimed to have captured two key posts and large sections of the military camp.

BRAS also claimed that they seized a significant cache of weapons and equipment, including Kalashnikov rifles, G3 rifles, machine guns, night vision devices, and thermal scanners. To prevent reinforcements from reaching the site, BRAS fighters allegedly blocked the CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) route at two locations.

The statement further claimed that the militants destroyed surveillance cameras, hampering the Pakistani military’s intelligence operations in the area. During the operation, BRAS alleged that three soldiers were surrounded at one post, and while their fighters attempted to secure a surrender without bloodshed, their senior commander Amir alias Baba was shot from behind and killed.

Amir, reportedly from the Hoshab region of Kech district, joined the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) in 2014 and had served in both urban and mountain units. The BRAS statement hailed his death as a martyrdom and vowed to continue their struggle until Balochistan’s “liberation”.

The Pakistan Army has not yet officially responded to these claims, and independent verification of the death toll remains unavailable due to restricted access to conflict zones in Balochistan.
