Ayushmann Khurrana Pays Tribute to Asha Bhosle, Granddaughter Janai Reflects on Life Lessons

Mumbai, April 15: The music world has been deeply touched by the melodies of Asha Bhosle for decades. Following her passing, tributes have poured in from fans and fellow artists alike. Among them, actor Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhosle’s granddaughter, Janai Bhosle, shared heartfelt remembrances.

Ayushmann Khurrana took to Instagram to share a video of himself playing the guitar and singing the Punjabi folk song “Das Meriya Dilbara Ve, Tu Kede Arsh Da Tara.” This song is cherished for its poignant lyrics and melody. In the video, Ayushmann performs with simplicity and sincerity. He captioned the post, “This is my favorite Punjabi song, sung in Asha Bhosle’s unique style. I grew up listening to her voice. There is a truth and warmth in her words. Such a voice never fades; it lives on in people’s hearts.”

Ayushmann’s wife, Tahira Kashyap, also expressed her love in the comments with a heart emoji.

The song “Das Meriya Dilbara Ve” features not only Asha Bhosle but also the legendary Mohammad Rafi. It is a romantic piece where the lover inquires about her partner’s whereabouts and identity.

Meanwhile, Janai Bhosle shared a touching video on Instagram in memory of her grandmother. In the clip, she stands on a balcony with Asha Bhosle, watching a rally pass by below. Both are seen smiling, and the most emotional moment comes when Janai kisses her grandmother’s forehead.

For the video, Janai chose to use a famous song from the 1980 Bollywood film “Lootmaar,” titled “Jab Chhaye Mera Jadoo,” sung by Asha Bhosle and composed by Rajesh Roshan.

In her caption, Janai wrote, “She wanted people to celebrate life just as she did, embracing every moment wholeheartedly.”
