New Delhi, August 11: Former Israeli national spokesperson Ayalon Levy has expressed skepticism regarding the expectation that Hamas will disarm. Commenting on the Saudi-Pakistan-Turkey defense pact, Levy stated that the formation of an “Islamic NATO” clearly indicates that Pakistan is not a neutral mediator. He also referenced remarks made by Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, who labeled Israel as a “cancer.”
Levy remarked, “No one believes that Hamas will voluntarily disarm. It is a misconception to plan for such an outcome. Hamas has made it clear that it does not wish to relinquish its weapons and intends to use them to compel Israel to withdraw from Gaza.”
He emphasized that Israel will never allow the terrorist organization, responsible for the atrocities of October 7, to approach its borders again.
Regarding the Saudi-Pakistan-Turkey defense pact, Levy stated, “The emergence of an Islamic NATO has made it very clear that Pakistan is not a neutral mediator. It is collaborating with other extremist elements in the region.”
He pointed out Asif’s comments about Israel, reminding listeners that Pakistan’s Defense Minister has previously stated that Israel is a cancerous state and has called for the Islamic world to unite against Israel.
Levy further explained, “The Islamic NATO brings together complementary capabilities. You have the largest economy in the Arab world, along with Turkey, which boasts the biggest ground army in Europe, and Pakistan, the only nuclear power in the Muslim world. You also have drone technology from India and Turkey, combined with Saudi Arabia’s energy supply and Pakistan’s support for terrorist groups and nuclear weapons.”
