New Delhi, April 5: Political tensions are escalating following the removal of Raghav Chadha from his position as Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha. Former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) minister Rajendra Pal Gautam has openly criticized the party and its leadership.
In an interview with a news agency, Gautam stated, “The party is finished. There are many conflicts within it. Arvind Kejriwal is a significant dictator. He does not believe in social justice. He has no concern for the poor, backward classes, or minorities, except for their votes. Kejriwal views them merely as a vote bank.”
He added, “I was the only one who spoke about social justice in front of Kejriwal. I used to tell him that our educational institutions charge exorbitant fees. Dalit, tribal, and poor children are dropping out of school. Out of such a large budget, just allocate 150 crores for them, but Kejriwal refused.”
Gautam continued, “I argued that our government was formed with the support of Dalit and Muslim votes. When there was an opportunity for representation in the Rajya Sabha, they should have been given a voice, but he ignored it. No one in the party dares to confront Kejriwal regarding this issue. My speaking out became a thorn in his side.”
Regarding Raghav Chadha, he remarked, “He is compromised, similar to former Delhi Women’s Commission chairperson Swati Maliwal. The party’s demise is inevitable; no one can save it. The BJP is deliberately keeping Kejriwal and his party alive because he has already compromised himself. Today, the AAP is the B team of the BJP.”
He sarcastically noted, “Raghav Chadha has unofficially joined the BJP, just as Swati Maliwal did. Both leaders are only in AAP out of necessity to preserve their memberships. There could be many others like them.”
Tensions within the AAP continue to rise as Gautam’s statements highlight significant divisions and dissatisfaction with the party’s direction.
