Aaya Nagar, October 1 (Daily Kiran) : In a significant breakthrough, Delhi police have arrested a suspect in the murder of a gym trainer in Aaya Nagar. The accused, identified as Deepak, is alleged to have sheltered the two shooters involved in the crime.
The incident occurred on September 14, when gym trainer Vijay was shot dead outside his gym around 10 a.m. Eyewitnesses reported that two assailants opened fire as Vijay exited the facility. They fired approximately 10 to 12 rounds, resulting in Vijay’s immediate death.
The sound of gunfire sent shockwaves through the neighborhood, causing panic among residents. After the attack, the shooters fled the scene.
Upon receiving the report, senior police officials arrived at the location and cordoned off the area. Forensic teams collected evidence from the scene, and the body was taken for an autopsy.
Initial investigations suggest that the murder may be linked to a personal rivalry, although the precise motives remain unclear. Police are exploring all angles, including whether Vijay had any previous enmity.
This incident is not isolated; a similar shooting occurred in Aaya Nagar a few months ago. Additionally, a property dealer was shot outside a gym in Narela, indicating a potential pattern of violent crime in the area.
