In addition, the department reported that nearly all issues related to the Army have also been resolved. Out of 394,779 discrepancies tied to the Army, 390,336 cases—98.8%—have been standardized. This accomplishment was part of a special campaign initiated by the Defence Accounts Department, which operated in mission mode with continuous monitoring and focused investigations.
The efforts were led by the Controller General of Defence Accounts and the Defence Accounts Officer for pensions, who played crucial roles in these coordinated efforts. The campaign’s most notable achievement is the complete normalization of all pension cases from the Air Force and Navy.
With 98.8% of Army cases also resolved, this initiative marks a significant advancement in organizing pension matters for the Armed Forces. More than 100,000 cases related to the Indian Air Force were included in this campaign, all of which have now been standardized, showcasing a complete success for the Air Force.
The Defence Ministry highlighted that the department has made remarkable progress in organizing pension cases across all three branches of the military. Importantly, this effort went beyond merely reducing the number of pending cases. It emphasized ongoing monitoring, thorough investigations, and improved coordination among relevant offices.
This achievement in standardizing pension cases is particularly significant because it required extensive investigation and coordination at various levels to address numerous discrepancies. Bringing all Air Force and Navy cases to a normalized state illustrates the effectiveness of the department’s special campaign.
