Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister to Transfer ₹502 Crore for RTE Fee Reimbursement

Bhopal, October 11 (Daily Kiran) : Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will initiate the transfer of ₹502 crore for fee reimbursement under the Right to Education (RTE) Act during an event in Narsinghpur district this Sunday. This substantial amount will be credited to the accounts of 20,456 private schools across the state, aiding more than 819,000 students in accessing free education.

In addition to the financial transfer, Yadav will also inaugurate a new building for the Government Sandipani Excellence School, constructed at a cost exceeding ₹45 crore. The school is designed to provide state-of-the-art facilities.

The event will be attended by School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh, local representatives, and a large gathering of students and parents. The Sandipani School initiative is a significant step towards providing a better educational environment and modern facilities for students in Madhya Pradesh. The government is committed to effectively implementing the RTE Act to ensure quality education for underprivileged children.

To further support this initiative, the state government is facilitating free admissions for economically disadvantaged students in private schools from grades 1 to 8. The reimbursement for these students’ fees is directly paid to the respective private institutions. Since 2011, over 1.68 million students have benefited from this scheme, with a total reimbursement of ₹3,600 crore, making quality education more accessible for those in need.

To enhance educational quality, the Sandipani School scheme has seen the construction of a fully equipped new building in Narsinghpur. This facility is designed to foster the academic, intellectual, physical, and overall development of students from kindergarten to 12th grade.

The school boasts modern amenities, including digital classrooms, a computer lab, advanced science laboratories, a well-stocked library, a multipurpose hall, and an auditorium. Additionally, sports facilities and safe transportation options are provided to encourage physical activities among students.

The positive impact of this modern educational environment is already evident. In the 2025-26 academic session, a student from this school, Mahi Sahu, achieved a place in the merit list for 12th grade, bringing pride to the institution and the region.
