Taking to social media, Kher shared his experiences from the shoot, expressing that he feels a part of him has been left behind in Ayodhya.

On his Instagram account, Kher posted several photos and wrote, “Returning from Ayodhya after completing the first shooting schedule of ‘Shri Ram Bhumi,’ but to be honest, it feels like a part of me has stayed there. I am taking back not only beautiful memories but also a profound understanding of Sanatan Dharma, spiritual richness, and the pride of being part of a film that aims to portray history and faith with utmost sincerity and truth.”

Kher further expressed his feelings towards Ayodhya, stating, “Ayodhya is not just a city; it is an experience. Every street, every turn, every home, every temple, and every breath here resonates with one name—Shri Ram.”

He added, “The visit to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple, the affection of the people here, and the energy of this sacred land have enriched me not just as an actor but as a human being. I firmly believe that Ayodhya will always be a part of my soul.”

In his post, Kher also extended heartfelt gratitude to the people of Ayodhya and the entire film team. He wrote, “Thank you to all the people of Ayodhya. To the saints who blessed me, and to my friends Yatindra and Manjari Mishra for their love and hospitality. I am also grateful to the film’s director Kamakhya Narayan Singh, cinematographer Aseem Bajaj, and all the members of the unit who made me a part of this incredible journey. Thank you, Ayodhya. Until we meet again.”

It is noteworthy that ‘Shri Ram Bhumi’ is based on the decades-long events surrounding the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Anupam Kher portrays the late senior leader of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Ashok Singhal, who was a prominent face of the Ram temple movement.
