Mumbai, August 9: The atmosphere in Mathura is charged once again regarding Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi. A significant announcement was made at the Chitragupt Peeth in the Radha Kund area on Sunday, declaring a seva (service) event scheduled for December 6. The Peethadhishwar, Sachchidanand Maharaj, also revealed plans to offer bhog (food offerings) to Thakurji at the birthplace of Lord Krishna.
On Sunday morning, the Chitragupt Peeth hosted a series of religious activities, including Bhagwat Katha, kirtan, and havan (fire ritual). Following these events, the date for the seva was officially announced in the presence of various saints.
In an interview, Sachchidanand Maharaj stated, “This yagna (sacred fire ritual) is being performed with a special resolve. It will continue until Lord Krishna is established at his birthplace, similar to the yagna initiated for the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.”
He further explained that all necessary religious rituals have been completed prior to the seva. “Whenever a sacred task is undertaken, havan and kirtan are performed beforehand. We have already completed the Bhagwat Katha and kirtan, and now the havan is also done,” he added.
Along with the seva announcement, the first shipment of pink stones intended for temple construction has arrived at the ashram. However, there are reports of one stone going missing.
Sachchidanand Maharaj commented, “I have just learned about the missing stone. It seems to be absent from the location where we placed it. We are trying to find out who removed it. I currently have no further information.”
In response to the seva announcement and the arrival of the stones, local authorities have heightened security measures. A significant number of police personnel have been deployed outside the Chitragupt Peeth. The district administration, along with the IG, SP, CRPF, commandos, and local police, conducted a joint flag march to enhance security in the area.
