Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Expresses Condolences Over Tragic Accident in Bihar

Amaravati, June 8: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed deep sorrow over the tragic accident that occurred near Aurangabad, Bihar, resulting in the deaths of three pilgrims. He extended his condolences to the affected families.

In an official statement, Naidu communicated with officials regarding the incident and sought updates on the treatment of the injured.

Authorities informed him that a bus carrying 46 pilgrims from Nellore collided with another vehicle near Aurangabad. They reported that three individuals died at the scene, while 15 others sustained injuries.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to coordinate with the Bihar government to provide assistance to the victims and arrange for the return of the pilgrims to their hometowns.

Following his directives, Andhra Pradesh officials have been in constant contact with senior officials and local administration in Bihar. Seriously injured passengers have been transferred to the Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital in Gaya. Officials stated that the condition of all hospitalized victims is stable.

Discussions are ongoing with the Bihar government regarding the transportation of the passengers back to their home state. Reports indicate that the accident occurred on Sunday night when a tourist bus collided with a truck-trailer on National Highway 19 in Aurangabad district, resulting in three fatalities and 20 injuries.

The bus was en route from Bodh Gaya to Kashi (Varanasi) and was carrying pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh visiting various religious sites. The collision took place between Bhediya and Dev Mod in the Muffasil police station area.

Eyewitnesses reported that the accident happened as the bus driver attempted to overtake another vehicle.
