Amogh Jwala Military Exercise Concludes with Lieutenant General Dheeraj Seths Oversight

New Delhi, March 19: The Amogh Jwala military exercise concluded on Wednesday at the Babina Field Firing Range in Jhansi. Lieutenant General Dheeraj Seth, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, oversaw the closing of this significant exercise. The event focused on validating new operational concepts, force structures, processes, and protocols for modern warfare.

Conducted by the White Tiger Division, the exercise showcased rapid mechanized operations through the integrated use of attack helicopters, fighter jets, drones, anti-drone systems, and advanced battlefield technologies in a multi-domain operational environment. The seamless integration of artillery fire, real-time drone-based surveillance and targeting, precision strikes, electronic warfare (EW), air defense (AD), and night combat capabilities highlighted the growing combat readiness of a networked, future-ready force.

The Army Commander praised the soldiers for their professionalism, operational excellence, and combat readiness displayed during the exercise. He emphasized that the assimilation of technology, jointness, and the seamless integration of land, air, cyber, space, ISR, and EW capabilities are fundamental to building a nimble and adaptable force capable of dominating the evolving battlefield across the spectrum of multi-domain operations.

Notably, the Southern Command of the Indian Army conducted the Amogh Jwala exercise from March 6 to March 18, 2026, at the Babina Field Firing Range. The exercise validated technology-based mechanized warfare capabilities in a multi-domain operational environment. During the exercise, the army assessed capabilities by deploying technology-equipped tanks and showcased helicopters in an offensive role.

The integrated use of mechanized forces under a robust command and control architecture demonstrated the effectiveness of attack helicopters, fighter jets, unmanned aerial systems, anti-drone systems, and network-enabled battlefield platforms.
