Mumbai, July 2: Santosh Dubey, the leader of Dharma Sena Bharat and a former ‘karsevak’, has made serious allegations regarding the sale of gold and silver jewelry offered to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He claims these valuable offerings are being sold in local shops. Dubey has called for an investigation by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, stating that the former general secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Champat Rai, was aware of these activities.
In an interview, Dubey stated, “There are many shops in Ayodhya where precious metals are sold. Champat Rai has overseen these shops since his arrival eight years ago.” He alleged that jewelry, including gold and silver ornaments and precious stones offered at the temple, has been sent to these shops. “I received this information from inside sources,” he added.
Dubey emphasized the need for an investigation into shops dealing in precious stones and metals. He believes that apprehending these traders could lead to the recovery of the missing gold, silver, and jewelry, revealing the full truth.
Demanding strict action, Dubey insisted that the police officers stationed at the Ram Janmabhoomi police station should be removed immediately. “The SHO of the Ram Janmabhoomi police station must be dismissed, as he will not take action but will manage the allegations,” he asserted.
He urged the Chief Minister to act swiftly; otherwise, a fair investigation would be compromised. Dubey also pointed out that the presence of these police officers is tarnishing the government’s reputation.
Additionally, he called for an inquiry into the assets and businesses of traders dealing in precious metals and stones within the temple town. “Stolen gems and jewelry are being sold in these shops. The main accused, Tinnu Yadav, is in contact with these shopkeepers. The thieves are still in Ayodhya; they are not from outside. Immediate action is necessary,” he concluded.
