Akshay Kumar Shares Fun Anecdotes While Promoting Welcome to the Jungle

Mumbai, June 24: Bollywood is filled with fascinating stories behind the scenes that often remain hidden from the audience. Recently, choreographer and filmmaker Ahmed Khan, along with actor Akshay Kumar, shared some of their past experiences.

The duo is currently busy promoting their upcoming film, ‘Welcome to the Jungle.’ During a conversation, they discussed the dark comedy genre and the working methods of actors in earlier films. Akshay Kumar recounted amusing stories from the shooting of his film ‘Aflatoon.’

Ahmed Khan noted, “The film ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’ revolves entirely around a corpse. We all laughed a lot while watching it. I don’t understand why filmmakers hesitate to create such films. Dark comedies can still entertain audiences just as much today, but fewer films are made on such themes.”

He further explained, “In the past, actors were completely new. We had to teach them from scratch and provide them with a basic understanding of acting before preparing them on set. However, today’s actors come with prior training. This change in the film industry has occurred naturally over time.”

During the conversation, Akshay Kumar shared his thoughts on contemporary actors. He said, “Today’s actors are reluctant to take risks. By risks, I mean working in multi-starrer films. I humbly request them to consider participating in such projects.”

Akshay also shared an interesting and humorous incident related to his film ‘Aflatoon.’ He revealed, “The car I danced on during the song was not rented. It was passing by, and its owner was my fan. I asked him, ‘Can I dance on your car for five minutes?’ He immediately agreed, and that’s how the scene was shot.”

He recounted another amusing incident linked to the same song. “We have shot in many places without permission, often being stopped from entering. Once, we shot inside a building, and the guard came running to chase us away. That shot ended up in the song. It all happened suddenly, but later, it became part of the film.”
