New Delhi, September 12 (Daily Kiran) : A tragic incident unfolded at The Grand Hotel in New Delhi‘s Vasant Kunj area, where an airline captain was found dead under suspicious circumstances. The police have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of death.
Authorities received a PCR call on Friday reporting that a guest at the hotel was in poor health. Upon arrival, the police team discovered the man unconscious and unresponsive in his room. He was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead after a preliminary examination.
Investigators learned that the deceased had checked into the hotel on Thursday. On Friday evening, his brother contacted the hotel manager, expressing concern that his brother was not responding to calls. The manager then went to the guest’s room, only to find it locked from the inside.
Using a master key, hotel staff opened the door and found the man unresponsive. A post-mortem was conducted at Safdarjung Hospital on Saturday, and the actual cause of death will be confirmed once the autopsy report is available. Meanwhile, the police have commenced their inquiry under Section 194 of the Indian Penal Code, with further actions pending.
