AIIMS Kalyani Invites Applications for 84 Junior Resident Positions Until August 24

Kolkata, August 4: A remarkable opportunity has emerged for young individuals aspiring to work at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). AIIMS Kalyani, located in West Bengal, has officially announced the recruitment of 84 Junior Resident (non-academic) positions across various departments.

The vacancies include 34 for Unreserved (UR), 8 for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 23 for Other Backward Classes (OBC), 13 for Scheduled Castes (SC), and 6 for Scheduled Tribes (ST).

The online application process has commenced, with the deadline set for August 24. Interested candidates can complete their registration through the application link provided in the official notification on AIIMS Kalyani’s website, before 5 PM on the final date.

Applicants must have completed their MBBS from a recognized institution by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Additionally, candidates should have finished their mandatory internship and possess a certificate of completion along with registration under any state medical council. It is important to note that candidates who have already completed Junior Residency twice elsewhere will not be considered.

The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 33 years, calculated as of the application deadline. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.

Selection of eligible candidates will be based on the scrutiny of applications and necessary documents, a written examination, and personal interviews. Selected candidates will receive a salary ranging from ₹15,600 to ₹39,100 per month, according to Level 10 of the 7th Pay Commission pay matrix, along with a grade pay of ₹5,400 and other benefits.

The written exam is likely to take place on September 8 at the “Examination Hall, Ground Floor, Auditorium Building, AIIMS Kalyani.” Candidates will be informed about the interview dates in due course.

While filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is set at ₹1,000 for Unreserved/OBC candidates and ₹500 for SC/ST/EWS candidates. Candidates from the PWD category are exempt from the registration fee.
