Tragic Suicide of 18-Year-Old SSC Aspirant in Indore

Indore, August 4: An 18-year-old student preparing for the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) examination tragically took his own life in his rented room in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

The deceased has been identified as Priyansh Kaurav, a resident of Indrapuri Colony in the Narsinghgarh-Gadarwara area. He had arrived in Indore about 15 days ago to prepare for the SSC exam and was living with three friends in a rented accommodation in the Bhanwarkuan area.

According to the Bhanwarkuan police, the incident came to light on Monday night when two of his roommates returned from coaching classes and found him hanging inside the room. They immediately brought him down and rushed him to a nearby hospital.

He was later referred to Maharaja Yashwantrao Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. The police reported that another roommate had stepped out to meet an acquaintance, leaving Priyansh alone at the time of the incident.

During the initial investigation, Priyansh’s friends informed the police that he had recently enrolled in a demo class for the SSC exam but was struggling to concentrate on his studies. They mentioned that he had spoken to his parents a few days prior, expressing a desire to return home as he found it challenging to continue his preparation in Indore. Reports suggest that his family had agreed to bring him back, but this tragic event occurred before he could leave the city.

The police revealed that Priyansh came from a farming family. His father is a farmer, and his elder brother is studying for a B.Tech degree in Bhopal. No suicide note was found in the room during the preliminary investigation. The Bhanwarkuan police have registered an unnatural death case and have begun an inquiry to determine the exact reasons behind the incident.

The body has been sent for post-mortem, and statements from the deceased’s family and roommates are being recorded as part of the investigation.
