New Delhi, February 16: AI is a significant opportunity for India. To transition from being users to creators, India must develop solutions that the world needs through AI. This will also help increase employment opportunities. This insight was shared by experts at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 on Monday.

Speaking with a news agency, Ankush Sabharwal, founder and CEO of Korover AI and BharatGPT AI, stated, “Currently, all new apps are utilizing AI. This trend will continue to grow. Gradually, we will all become users of AI. This presents a major opportunity for India to become creators, as developing solutions has become easier. Now, not just engineers, but anyone can create an app. This could also lead to increased job opportunities.”

Sanjay Sethi, the national technical coordinator of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), noted that many people have come to understand AI’s impacts. AI can bring significant changes to the agriculture sector. It can assist in understanding weather patterns, predicting the right requirements during farming, and shortening the food supply chain. He added that the impact of AI on agriculture will be more evident in the next two to three years.

The summit also saw enthusiastic participation from youth.

Young innovator Akhila Pasupuleti shared, “My solution is called ‘Desh Ke Haath.’ It is an AI-based e-commerce platform where we showcase various handicraft products from 28 states and 8 union territories. This resolves the issue of intermediaries. We directly benefit artisans and connect customers with them.”

Another young innovator, Srishti Purohit, mentioned, “My innovation is a web app designed for patients suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. This condition involves persistent fatigue, sleep issues, and significant pain. Managing it is very challenging, and in India, it is often dismissed as mere weakness due to social reasons. Therefore, I developed ‘Enervision‘ to help these patients manage their condition better.”

Subhangi Singh explained, “My innovation is called IGSS, which stands for Intelligent Grain Storage System. Millions of tons of grain are wasted in India each year due to poor storage methods. Many unscientific and unconventional storage techniques are still in use. To address this issue, I created the Intelligent Grain Storage System. It monitors grain storage in real-time and anticipates risks, ensuring that an automated control system is implemented, allowing supervisors to take timely action.”
