Mumbai, August 21: Renowned musician and singer Adnan Sami shared a heartfelt post in memory of his mother on her 79th birthday. His mother passed away in 2024. Reflecting on her special day, Adnan posted several pictures on social media, expressing that the void left by her absence remains profound in his life. He revealed that her name and mobile number are still saved on his phone, and he struggles to delete them.
Adnan wrote, “Today is my mother’s birthday, and I miss her dearly. I remember her laughter, her unique perspective on life, and every word she spoke. Since she left, there has been a space in my life that no one else can fill.”
He further shared, “My daughter Medina also misses her grandmother a lot. It has been quite some time since her passing, yet my mother’s name and number are still in my phone. That number is saved in my favorites and speed dial. I know I will never receive a call from that number again. Her name will not light up my mobile screen anymore, but I still can’t bring myself to delete it.”
Adnan expressed, “I lack the courage to remove that name and number. For me, that saved contact is not just a number; it is a memory of my mother. I want to keep it close.”
Through his post, Adnan urged people to cherish their parents. He stated, “If your mother’s name still appears on your phone, make sure to answer that call. While our parents are with us, we must value the time spent together. One day, the name will no longer appear on the screen, and it will never return.”
