Mumbai, June 2: Adarsh Gourav, known for his roles in international projects like “The White Tiger” and “Superboys of Malegaon,” believes establishing a strong identity in mainstream Indian cinema remains a significant goal in his career. He is determined not to shy away from this challenge.
In a recent conversation, Gourav shared that in a diverse country like India, where language and culture vary widely, reaching the hearts of every audience segment is a considerable test for any artist. He expressed confidence that through his upcoming films, he would connect with audiences across the nation and earn their love.
He stated, “Being part of a film that resonates with people from all walks of life in a country like India is a major challenge for any actor. It is a challenge for me as well. I hope to continue making films that reach a wider audience and provide me with more opportunities to connect with people.”
When asked if success in Bollywood requires not just talent but also patience and luck, Gourav emphasized the importance of luck in achieving success in any field.
He remarked, “No matter how good your connections are, if luck isn’t on your side, you can’t achieve much. We often live under the illusion that everything in our lives is within our control, but that’s not entirely true. Challenges arise for everyone.”
Gourav also shared insights on what he learns from senior actors, particularly expressing admiration for Rajkummar Rao.
He said, “I am always inspired by Raj Bhai. One habit of his that I really admire is that he watches at least one film every day. I believe this is crucial for actors and those in creative fields. Watching different types of films opens up new worlds, perspectives, and storytelling methods. It inspires me, and I try to watch as many films as possible.”
Discussing his upcoming projects, Gourav revealed that he is currently working on the second season of “Alien,” with shooting set to begin soon.
He added, “I have also completed a Telugu film titled ‘Happy Birthday,’ which I worked on last year. I hope it will be released by the end of this year or early next year. I am eagerly looking forward to it.”
