Actress Mugdha Chafekar Excited About OTT Debut in ‘Hasratein’ Season 3

Mumbai: After establishing herself in television and films, actress Mugdha Chafekar has made her debut on the OTT platform. She appears in the popular Hungama OTT series ‘Hasratein’ season 3. Mugdha shared that working on ‘Hasratein’ has been a wonderful experience.

The latest episode titled ‘Halla Bol’ released on January 22 features Mugdha as Jyoti, a subdued woman trapped in domestic violence and married to a politician. Forced to contest elections as a puppet candidate in a patriarchal power play, Jyoti gradually finds her suppressed voice and intelligence emerging as the campaign progresses. When others try to take credit for her achievements, she chooses rebellion over silence, fear, and obedience.

This role highlights the themes of women empowerment and inner strength. Speaking about her OTT debut, Mugdha said, “I wanted to work on OTT for a long time but was waiting for the right platform and story. When Hungama OTT approached me with this strong, women-centric story, I felt it was the perfect time.”

Reflecting on her time on set, she praised her co-stars, especially Sanam. “Working with Sanam was fantastic. She is not only a brilliant dancer but also a very hardworking actress. During breaks, we used to dance and have fun, which created a positive and comfortable atmosphere on set.”

‘Hasratein’ season 3 exposes the desires hidden behind outward appearances, tense relationships, social pressures, and moments of rebellion. The show has been well received by audiences.

Mugdha Chafekar began her acting career as a child artist in the Bollywood film ‘Azmaish’. She made her television debut in 2006 with ‘Kya Mujhse Dosti Karoge’. She is best known for her roles as Rajkumari Sanyogita in the period drama ‘Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan’ and Prachi Arora Kohli in the romantic serial ‘Kumkum Bhagya’.
