Actress Ada Sharma Joins Vedic Students for Mahishasuramardini Stotra Recital at Mrityunjay Temple

On the sacred occasion of Gupt Navratri, actress Ada Sharma visited the Shri Maha Mrityunjay Temple located in Kanakhal, Haridwar. She participated in a collective recital of the Mahishasuramardini Stotra alongside Vedic students from the Vedic Pathshala run by Swami Avdheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj at the Shri Harihar Ashram.

Ada Sharma shared a beautiful video of this special moment on her Instagram account. In the caption, she wrote, “Recited Mahishasuramardini Stotra with Vedic students at Mrityunjay Temple, Kanakhal, on Gupt Navratri.” The video shows the actress enthusiastically chanting the hymn together with the energetic students.

Significance of Gupt Navratri Explained

Ada Sharma often shares information related to temples and rituals with her followers. Earlier, she explained the true essence of Gupt Navratri in simple and clear terms, highlighting that it is not a festival of garba, dandiya, or loud celebrations. Instead, she described it as a time for peace, penance, inner spiritual practice, and devotion.

She also narrated the story behind the observance of Gupt Navratri. According to her, when evil forces and ego dominated, the gods sought help from Lord Shiva. Shiva instructed Goddess Parvati to awaken her power in a secret form that only true devotees could perceive. During this time, the Goddess used the secret knowledge of ten Mahavidyas to gradually dispel darkness. The demons weakened due to a lack of penance and devotion. Upon completion, the Goddess said that she is rarely found by those who seek her loudly but is fully revealed to those who search in peace and devotion. This is why Gupt Navratri is celebrated.
