Ernakulam, August 3: The Central Committee meeting of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) concluded in Ernakulam, Kerala. The meeting focused on organizational reviews, current national issues, and detailed discussions on the action plan for the upcoming year.
During the meeting, the ABVP expressed its support for students’ struggles against question paper leaks in competitive exams conducted by JPSC, BPSC, KPSC, and Punjab. The organization also called for participation from various social groups.
ABVP emphasized that every student has the right to a fair, transparent, and reliable examination system. Following reports of question paper leaks in Jharkhand, the ABVP promptly submitted a detailed memorandum to the Governor.
The meeting included extensive discussions on the ABVP’s major national campaigns for the upcoming year. A decision was made to widely promote ‘Vande Mataram’ across educational campuses. Additionally, plans for a Tiranga rally, the ‘One Village – One Tiranga’ campaign, and a collective singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ on Independence Day, August 15, were outlined.
Dr. Virendra Singh Solanki, the National General Secretary of ABVP, stated, “The Central Committee meeting in Ernakulam involved comprehensive and meaningful deliberations on education, organization, current national issues, and the action plan for the upcoming year. The incidents of question paper leaks in Jharkhand, Bihar, Karnataka, and Punjab raise serious questions about the integrity of the examination system in the country.”
He further asserted, “ABVP fully supports the legitimate demands and democratic movements of students. Every student deserves a fair, transparent, reliable, and error-free examination system. To this end, ABVP will present detailed suggestions and recommendations for necessary institutional reforms to the high-level committee formed by the Government of India following irregularities in the NEET examination.”
Dr. Solanki added, “In the near future, the ‘Campus to Campus Vande Mataram’ campaign and the ‘Screen Time to Activity Time’ initiative will be widely implemented in Kerala’s educational campuses to strengthen patriotism, positive campus culture, leadership skills, and active public participation among students.”
He expressed confidence that the action plan established during the Central Committee meeting would empower every ABVP worker to successfully engage the student community in these campaigns, transforming student power into national strength.
