Abu Azmi Claims LPG Shortage Forces Him to Use Electric Stoves

Mumbai, March 12: Senior leader of the Samajwadi Party (SP), Abu Azmi, has reported that his home is without LPG gas due to a nationwide shortage of gas cylinders. As a result, he has resorted to using electric stoves for cooking.

In a conversation in Mumbai, Azmi stated, “Yesterday, hotel owners informed me that they are closing down. I made several attempts to find a cylinder. Fortunately, I managed to get one from a relative and sent it to them. The situation is chaotic due to the LPG shortage. We have ordered two electric stoves for our home. The government needs to address this issue promptly.”

Regarding a bomb threat to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Azmi emphasized the need for a thorough investigation. “Some individuals create chaos by sending such messages. Those responsible should be apprehended and face strict penalties to deter future incidents,” he added.

Congress leader Bhai Jagatap commented on the LPG shortage, linking it to the ongoing conflict in Iran. He stated, “It has been two weeks since the war began. Whether itโ€™s oil or gas, if we are dependent on them, the central government should have exercised caution. The situation is worsening, with hotels and restaurants shutting down, leaving employees unemployed. This reflects the government’s failure. They make grand statements but need to take action. This is a failure of foreign policy. If you had prior knowledge, what is the government doing to protect the country?”

On the bomb threat, Jagatap remarked, “This is a serious matter. Such rumors arise, but with the session starting today, if such incidents occur, it raises questions about the effectiveness of our agencies. Our intelligence should be aware of these threats.”
