
New Delhi, August 24: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has appointed Anil Jha, a legislator from the Kiraadi assembly seat in Delhi, as the in-charge for Karnataka. This appointment is seen as a significant step towards strengthening the party’s presence in South India.
Following the announcement, Anil Jha took to the social media platform X to express his gratitude to the party’s national convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, and the top leadership. He stated, “This is both an honor and a significant responsibility.”
In his message, Jha said, “I sincerely thank Arvind Kejriwal and all the top leadership for this important responsibility. I will strive to strengthen your trust through hard work and dedication. Together, we will work with full commitment to strengthen the organization and effectively raise public interest issues.”
Meanwhile, AAP Karnataka also welcomed Anil Jha’s appointment on X, stating that he has been entrusted with the responsibility of fortifying the party’s organization in the state.
A message from the party read, “Anil Jha has been appointed as the state in-charge to strengthen AAP’s organization in Karnataka. Heartfelt congratulations to him.”
In related news, it was reported that on Sunday night, a hatchback collided with an SUV after crossing a road divider near ITO in central Delhi, injuring at least six people, including AAP legislator Anil Jha and Karnataka BJP MLA Abhay Patil.
According to police, both legislators were in the SUV at the time of the collision. All injured individuals sustained minor injuries and were taken to Lok Nayak Hospital.
