New Delhi, May 4: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed party workers at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi, celebrating the electoral mandate received from four states and Union Territories, including West Bengal and Assam. He emphasized that the BJP-NDA now governs in over 20 states across the country. “Our mantra is ‘Citizen Devobhava.’ We are dedicated to serving the public, and as a result, the people are increasingly trusting the BJP. They can clearly see that where there is BJP, there is good governance and development,” he stated.
Modi expressed his vision for a strong and prosperous Bengal, a dream that has been long awaited. “On this day, May 4, the people of Bengal have given us, the BJP workers, an opportunity. A new chapter has begun in Bengal’s destiny. Today, Bengal is free from fear and filled with the promise of development,” he declared.
He also reflected on the legacy of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, stating, “Today, his soul must be at peace. In 1951, he founded the Janata Party, sending a message to every worker to live and die for the nation. He demonstrated that those who carry the mantra of ‘Nation First’ do not hesitate to give their lives. Dr. Mukherjee fought valiantly to keep West Bengal a part of India.”
Modi noted that with this victory, the people of Bengal have paid homage to India and Rishi Bankim Chandra Chatterjee on the 150th anniversary of “Vande Mataram.” He assured every citizen of Bengal that the BJP would work tirelessly for a better future. “Women will be safe, youth will find jobs, and migration will cease. In our first cabinet meeting, we will approve the Ayushman scheme and take strict action against infiltrators,” he promised.
The Prime Minister acknowledged the sacrifices made by many BJP workers in Bengal, especially women who have endured numerous hardships. “You cannot imagine the struggles faced by every BJP worker in Kerala and Bengal. I dedicate this victory to all those workers and their families. While this evening of May 4 may be coming to a close, a new sunrise has emerged on the sacred soil of Bengal,” he concluded.
