
New Delhi, 1 January. Following record sales in 2025, the Indian automobile market is set for a strong 2026 with several new vehicle launches from both domestic and international brands.
At the start of 2026, Maruti Suzuki is expected to launch its first electric car, the E Vitara, featuring advanced specifications and an estimated driving range of over 500 kilometres.
Mahindra is also likely to introduce the XUV 7XO, a refreshed version of the XUV 700, which may come equipped with a triple-screen dashboard and an interior inspired by the XUV 9S model.
Kia has already unveiled the new Seltos, which is scheduled for launch on 2 January 2026. The updated Seltos will be longer with increased width and wheelbase, while retaining the same engine as its predecessor.
Renault plans to launch a new model of its popular SUV, the Duster, on 26 January 2026. The company has released teasers indicating a more premium design and upgraded features compared to the previous version.
Tata Motors is expected to release a facelift of its well-known car, the Punch, with modifications to both the exterior and interior. However, the exact launch month is yet to be confirmed.
Mahindra may also launch a facelifted version of its popular SUV Scorpio N this year, featuring subtle exterior changes and significant interior updates.
Additionally, Tata Motors might introduce the electric variant of its new SUV Siara, along with petrol versions of its Harrier and Safari models during 2026.
