Jaipur, October 22 (Daily Kiran): In a major success against organised crime, Kotputli-Behror district police have arrested a ₹25,000 rewarded gangster, identified as Abhishek alias Batar, a key shooter of the Rohit Godara gang. The wanted criminal was nabbed while attempting to flee disguised as a rural woman wearing a ghaghra and lugdi.

SP Devendra Bishnoi said the accused, wanted in a serious case registered at Kotputli police station, had been evading arrest for months. Acting on specific intelligence, Quick Response Teams (QRT) of Kotputli and Behror launched a swift and coordinated operation that led to his arrest before he could execute a major criminal act in Behror.

Heavy Cache of Weapons Seized

Police recovered a large quantity of illegal arms from Abhishek’s possession, including three country-made pistols, 12 live cartridges, and one extra magazine.

SP Bishnoi informed that the arrested accused, Abhishek alias Batar (21), son of Pappu Ram Gurjar, is a resident of Molaheda village under Paniyala police station limits. He has a criminal history with eight serious cases already registered against him across various police stations. A new case under the Arms Act and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has now been filed at Behror police station.

Police Team’s Swift Action Praised

SP Bishnoi praised the alertness and prompt action of Constable Manoj Kumar (QRT Kotputli) and Constable Baldev (QRT Behror), whose vigilance and quick response ensured the gangster’s arrest before he could escape or commit another crime.

This arrest marks a significant breakthrough for the district police in their continued crackdown on organised criminal networks operating in the region.
