SP Leader Udayveer Singh Criticizes Government Over Ram Temple Donation Scandal

Lucknow, July 2: Samajwadi Party spokesperson Udayveer Singh has expressed concern over the Ram Temple donation scandal, stating it is unfortunate that lawyers now have to take charge of the situation. On Thursday, a large group of lawyers marched in Ayodhya, demanding the registration of FIRs against Champat Rai, Gopal Rao, and Anil Mishra.

The lawyers have warned that if FIRs are not filed against these three individuals, they will approach the Supreme Court. Udayveer Singh described the situation as a heinous crime, claiming that donations made in the name of Ram are being misappropriated, yet the government remains inactive. This clearly indicates the government’s incompetence and bias, he added.

Singh accused influential figures of being involved in the scandal, suggesting that the government is trying to protect them. He stated that either Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is complicit with these individuals or has succumbed to their power.

He remarked, “The Chief Minister does not need to give speeches; he should take action. If he truly had devotion to Ram and the courage, FIRs would have been filed the same day the theft was reported. Action would have been taken against all the prominent individuals involved, and all donations would have been recovered by now.”

Udayveer Singh directly attacked the Ram Temple Trust, questioning the purpose of holding meetings when its senior officials are accused of theft. He demanded that the Trust be dissolved immediately, asserting that the credibility of the Trust has been severely compromised due to such a significant incident.

He further criticized the BJP for consistently adopting wrong policies regarding farmers, laborers, and youth, citing issues ranging from MGNREGA to paper leaks as outcomes of this mindset.
