Melbourne, February 4: Xiaomi has officially launched its G27Qi 2K Gaming Monitor in Australia, enhancing the previous model’s refresh rate from 180Hz to an impressive 200Hz. Priced at AUD 289 (approximately $203), this new model is currently available at a 28% discount from its original retail price of AUD 399.
The monitor features a 27-inch Fast IPS panel, delivering a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a rapid 1ms GTG response time to reduce motion blur during intense gaming sessions. It supports AMD FreeSync Premium, which synchronizes frame rates between the GPU and display, effectively minimizing screen tearing and stuttering.
With HDR 400 certification, the monitor achieves a peak brightness of 400 nits and a standard contrast ratio of 1000:1. While it may not cater to high-end HDR applications, it significantly enhances contrast in various lighting conditions.
Color accuracy is a key highlight, as the display covers 95% of the DCI-P3 color space and 100% of sRGB, offering a 10-bit color depth for smooth gradients. Factory calibration ensures a Delta E below 2, making it suitable for gaming, media consumption, and entry-level creative tasks. Additionally, TÜV-certified hardware blue light filtering reduces harmful emissions by 50%, preserving color accuracy during prolonged use.
The design features slim bezels on three sides and a rear joystick for easy settings control. Connectivity options include two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, two HDMI 2.0 ports, an audio jack, and a DC power input. The stand allows for tilt adjustments between -5° and +15°, and a 75 x 75 mm VESA mount is available for wall installation.
Weighing 4.15 kg with the stand and consuming a maximum of 48W, the monitor strikes a balance between portability and performance, making it ideal for competitive gaming and general multimedia use.
Xiaomi has yet to announce launch dates or pricing for other regions. The Australian release marks the first confirmed market for the 2026 model, which was listed on Xiaomi’s global website in late 2025 before becoming available for retail.
In related news, Xiaomi has also begun the global rollout of the Gaming Monitor G27i 2026, a 27-inch Full HD Fast IPS display designed for budget-conscious gamers, offering a refresh rate of up to 200Hz in supported modes (officially listed at 165Hz) and a 1ms GTG response time to minimize motion blur.
