
Dalian, June 25: Artificial Intelligence (AI) is emerging as a powerful force, poised to address global challenges such as sustainable urban development and scientific advancements. India’s vast pool of young talent positions it to play a significant role in the global AI ecosystem, experts stated on Thursday.
During the World Economic Forum’s ‘Annual Meeting of the New Champions’ (Summer Davos), Vivek Vyas, co-founder of Intuitive AI, shared insights on his company’s AI-powered waste management solutions aimed at making cities cleaner and more sustainable.
This Canadian company utilizes AI to process and dispose of waste in an environmentally responsible manner. According to Vyas, their AI-centric smart waste management product is designed for deployment in airports, railway stations, shopping malls, and other crowded locations.
Vyas emphasized that India is a large and thriving economy. The country’s skilled, young, and intelligent workforce is its greatest strength.
Additionally, Dr. Herman Treibucatt, co-founder and CEO of Atinari Technologies, highlighted AI’s transformative potential in research and innovation. He noted that this technology is helping scientists accelerate research and development (R&D) efforts and find solutions more efficiently.
Treibucatt remarked, “AI is revolutionizing scientific research by speeding up R&D and assisting scientists in discovering solutions rapidly.” He added that rapid scientific innovation could lead to significant breakthroughs in medicine, clean energy, and other fields that enhance quality of life.
According to Treibucatt, the development of science and AI should benefit humanity. He praised India’s growing innovation ecosystem, noting the presence of a large group of talented engineers, scientists, and young innovators in the country.
He further stated, “With the right investment in AI-based research, India can make a crucial contribution to global scientific progress.”
The Summer Davos, which began on June 23, concluded on Thursday. Over 1,700 leaders gathered for three days to discuss the theme of ‘Innovating at Scale,’ focusing on the global economy and innovation.
