Singapore, March 26: Xiaomi has officially launched the Desktop Speaker Pro Set in the global market, with Singapore being the first recipient. Priced at SGD 139 (approximately $109), this system includes a wireless subwoofer. It was initially unveiled in China in September 2025 under the name Redmi Desktop Speaker 2 Pro.
The main speaker features a four-driver configuration, comprising two 10W racetrack drivers and dual passive radiators arranged horizontally. This setup aims to create a broader stereo field. The speaker is tilted at a 53-degree angle to enhance sound direction towards the listener, improving clarity in desktop environments. Accompanying this is a wireless subwoofer equipped with a 96mm long-throw driver and a specially tuned acoustic port, capable of reaching frequencies as low as 60Hz. It operates on an independent power supply to deliver robust bass performance.
The main unit and subwoofer connect via a low-latency 2.4GHz wireless link, ensuring synchronized audio output. Audio processing is managed by a DSP system that includes a complete digital signal chain and amplifier, designed to minimize noise while maximizing dynamic range. Users can choose from five EQ modes: Music, Bass, Vocals, Game, and Movie, with the subwoofer automatically adjusting based on the selected mode.
In terms of connectivity, the system offers USB, Bluetooth 5.3 with A2DP playback, and AUX input, making it compatible with computers, smartphones, and tablets. It also features a built-in microphone with acoustic echo cancellation for calls and meetings, along with a 3.5mm microphone input for external microphones.
The design showcases a metal grille and RGB lighting, featuring 24 LEDs in the main speaker and 5 in the subwoofer, with six different lighting effects available. Controls are conveniently located on the side-mounted knob and two top buttons for volume, sound modes, input selection, and lighting adjustments.
The main speaker measures 51.1 x 7.5 x 7.5 cm, weighs approximately 960g, and operates on a 12V 3A power supply. The subwoofer measures 15 x 15 x 21.9 cm, weighs around 1,308g, and runs on a 12V 1.5A power supply. Both devices function effectively within a temperature range of 0°C to 40°C.
