Beijing, May 27: Xiaomi has unveiled a new smart home tool, the Xiaomi Mijia Electric Straight Handle Screwdriver, in China. This innovative product will be available for crowdfunding starting next Wednesday at a price of 99 yuan, approximately $15.
Features of the Xiaomi Mijia Electric Straight Handle Screwdriver
The electric screwdriver is designed for various home repairs, furniture assembly, and everyday tasks. It features three adjustable torque levels. In electric mode, it can deliver up to 4 N·m of torque, while the manual mode allows for a maximum torque of 8 N·m, ideal for tougher screws.
Equipped with a 2000mAh battery, Xiaomi claims that a full charge can tighten around 600 screws, making it perfect for extended repair or installation sessions without the need for frequent recharging. The screwdriver also supports universal Type-C charging.
The device utilizes an all-metal planetary gearbox, enhancing stability and durability during heavy use. According to Xiaomi, this gearbox maintains stable output even under high-intensity conditions, minimizing the risk of slipping or jamming.
Additionally, the screwdriver features a magnetic bit holder that secures screws in place during installation. This feature is particularly useful for alignment in tight spaces, although it primarily works with ferrous and iron-based alloy screws.
The package includes a total of 18 screwdriver bits, comprising nine long bits and nine short bits. Xiaomi has also integrated storage within the carrying case to keep the main unit and accessories organized.
Other notable features include a built-in ring-shaped LED light for visibility in dark areas and a one-button system for switching between forward and reverse rotation. The compact EVA storage case is designed to be impact-resistant, making it easy to carry and store.
