The year 2026 marks the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Laos, as well as the Year of China-Laos Friendship. To celebrate, both sides will organize a series of events aimed at enhancing the friendship between their peoples.
Xi highlighted that this year also marks the beginning of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan and Laos’s 10th Five-Year Plan. Both countries are undergoing crucial phases of development and revitalization. The future of mutually beneficial cooperation between them looks promising.
Additionally, Chinese Premier Li Qiang has sent a congratulatory message to Sonexay Siphandone on his re-election as Prime Minister of Laos.
