Xi Jinping Congratulates Establishment of Global Data Organization

Beijing, March 31: Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message on the establishment of the Global Data Organization on Monday. He emphasized that today’s world is rapidly advancing towards an intelligent era, where the fundamental resource role of data and its significance as an engine of innovation is becoming increasingly clear.

President Xi stated that the Global Data Organization aims to bridge the data divide, highlight the value of data, and enrich the digital economy. It serves as a beneficial platform for deepening international data cooperation and improving global data governance.

He stressed that China will support the Global Data Organization’s role by adopting the concepts of consultation, participation, and shared benefits. China is eager to work with all parties to reach consensus on data governance rules, promote digital and intelligent technology innovation, ensure the secure and orderly flow of data, and enhance its efficient use. This will serve the healthy development of the global digital economy, allowing the benefits of data to reach the people of all countries more effectively.

It is noteworthy that the establishment conference of the Global Data Organization was held the same day in Beijing, focusing on the theme of “Co-constructing the Data Cooperation Platform and Sharing Opportunities for Digital Development.” Members of this organization include enterprises, universities, think tanks, international organizations, and financial institutions connected to the global data sector.
