World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2026 Concludes in Shanghai

Shanghai, July 21: The World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2026 concluded on July 20 at the Shanghai World Expo Center, attracting over 400,000 participants.

According to statistics, 177 major global purchasing delegations attended the conference, with estimated procurement reaching approximately 20.36 billion yuan, marking a 25% increase compared to the previous year.

During the closing ceremony, industry professionals shared their experiences and insights, expressing high hopes for the next conference.

Several significant AI projects were signed in Shanghai, covering 32 initiatives in areas such as AI infrastructure, intelligent agent applications, underlying intelligence, and scientific intelligence, with a total investment exceeding 40.9 billion yuan.

Participants believed that the conference achieved several key milestones in international cooperation, technological innovation, industrial development, and global governance. It showcased China’s commitment to promoting positive and ethical AI development while providing new momentum for global AI growth and governance.
