Mumbai, April 10: Rajesh Kumar Patro, a government lawyer, has praised the Women’s Reservation Bill, calling it a significant initiative. He noted that the country is witnessing progressive changes. Women should not limit themselves to household roles; they must step forward and contribute positively.
Patro emphasized that women played a crucial role in Operation Sindoor, advocating for the right to equality. He believes the passage of this bill will amplify women’s voices in Parliament. He argued that women should receive 50% reservation instead of the proposed 33%.
Professor Bharti Panigrahi supported the bill, stating that it is essential for strengthening democracy and ensuring greater female participation in governance. She asserted that increasing women’s involvement in politics will lead to meaningful change, as women understand each other’s mental states better.
She emphasized the need to recognize women’s capabilities, a sentiment that Prime Minister Modi understands well. The bill’s passage could significantly enhance women’s empowerment in the country. There is a collective belief in PM Modi’s leadership, and if this bill is passed, it will create a new historical milestone. Women like Sushma Swaraj and Nirmala Sitharaman have demonstrated their capabilities, and others should be given similar opportunities.
Padma awardees Shashi Soni and Bhimawwa Doddbalappa Shillekyathara welcomed the Women’s Reservation Bill on Thursday. They noted that this long-pending legislation reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s strength and commitment, urging women across the nation to step forward and play a significant role in nation-building.
