Akhilesh Yadav Criticizes BJPs Seat Distribution Strategy Ahead of Elections

Lucknow, August 18: Akhilesh Yadav, the National President of the Samajwadi Party, has accused the BJP of attempting to appease its allies in light of the upcoming assembly elections. He claims that the BJP, sensing its impending defeat, is working on a seat-sharing plan to prevent its allies from scattering under the pressure of the ‘PDA’. Yadav asserts that this strategy will ultimately fail, as the public has already rejected the party.

In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, Yadav cited sources indicating that the BJP is planning to allocate seats to its allied parties based on the advice of electoral experts. He mentioned that the proposed distribution includes 73 seats for the RLD, 39 for the Subhaspa, 31 for the Nishad Party, and 19 for the Apna Dal.

Yadav remarked, “While this may seem commendable, it is still less than half of what the PDA’s population ratio demands. Therefore, this plan is bound to fail.” He criticized the BJP, stating that the public will not accept those who have been embroiled in controversies related to religion and wealth, who have disrespected mothers, and who have resorted to violence against children while exacerbating corruption, inflation, and unemployment.

The SP leader also targeted the BJP over issues in education and examination systems. He accused the government of causing public distress through irregularities in education, healthcare, electricity, and road conditions. He condemned the government for false cases, alleged fake encounters, and bulldozer actions, claiming that homes and shops have been demolished and that there have been deaths in police custody.

Yadav pointed out that the education system has been affected from primary schools to universities. He highlighted the struggles of teachers, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, assistants, and Class IV employees, accusing the government of neglecting their issues. He also criticized the disregard for the interests of traders, shopkeepers, businesspeople, athletes, artists, farmers, laborers, and hardworking individuals.

He further condemned the BJP for ending the Yash Bharti award and its monetary benefits. Regarding the Agniveer scheme, he stated that the short-term military recruitment initiative has demoralized youth who have been preparing for recruitment for years. He raised concerns about the lack of respect for science and scientists, as well as issues related to reservations in the recruitment of 69,000 teachers and other positions.

Yadav accused the BJP of plotting to sell national assets and alter the Constitution. He concluded by asserting that the public has completely rejected the BJP and is ready to oust them from power. In his post, he wrote, “The people declare today, we do not want the BJP.”
