Noida, June 19: Residents of the National Capital Region (NCR) can soon expect relief from the intense heat and humidity. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), thunderstorms and rain are likely in the NCR over the next three days. While no warnings have been issued, a significant drop in temperature is anticipated due to the rain and strong winds.
The IMD forecasts a maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 27 degrees Celsius for June 19. Thunderstorms and rain are expected throughout the day, with humidity levels reaching a maximum of 60 percent and a minimum of 45 percent.
On June 20, the weather is expected to become even more pleasant. The maximum temperature will likely drop by 4 degrees to 37 degrees Celsius, while the minimum will be around 28 degrees Celsius. Thunderstorms and rain are also predicted for this day, with humidity levels expected to peak at 65 percent and drop to 45 percent.
The same weather pattern is expected to continue on June 21, with maximum temperatures around 37 degrees Celsius and minimums at 29 degrees Celsius. Rain and cloud cover will provide relief from the heat, with humidity levels potentially reaching 70 percent at maximum and 50 percent at minimum.
According to the weather department, there will be a slight decrease in rainfall activities starting June 22, with the sky partially covered by clouds. The maximum temperature is expected to be 38 degrees Celsius, while the minimum will be around 30 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels could reach a maximum of 70 percent and a minimum of 40 percent.
On June 23, the maximum temperature is forecasted to be 39 degrees Celsius and the minimum at 29 degrees Celsius, with partial cloud cover expected. Humidity levels will likely remain high, peaking at 70 percent and dropping to 40 percent.
A slight increase in temperature may occur on June 24, with maximum temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius and minimums at 31 degrees Celsius. However, cloud cover will persist, keeping the weather relatively normal.
Weather experts indicate that the NCR will continue to experience fluctuating weather patterns over the next week. Intermittent rain, strong winds, and cloud movements will help mitigate the effects of the heat. Notably, the maximum temperature is expected to drop from 41 degrees Celsius on June 19 to around 37 degrees Celsius within 24 hours, providing residents with a welcome relief of 4 to 5 degrees.
