
Beijing, May 2: The Diving World Cup Finals, organized by the International Swimming Federation (FINA), kicked off on May 1 in China’s capital, Beijing.
On the first day of the competition, the Chinese team excelled, winning gold medals in all five events: men’s synchronized 3-meter springboard, women’s synchronized 3-meter springboard, women’s synchronized 10-meter platform, men’s synchronized 10-meter platform, and the mixed team event.
Continuing the momentum on May 2, Chinese star Wang Zhongyuan claimed victory in the men’s individual 3-meter springboard event, scoring 544.35 points. This win marks his fourth world championship title in this event since the start of the Diving World Cup Finals. Another Chinese athlete, Cheng Jiayuan, secured the silver medal with a score of 500.50 points.
With this latest achievement, the Chinese team has now amassed a total of 6 gold and 1 silver medal in this year’s competition.
