New Delhi, August 30: North Delhi Strikers have become the second team to reach the final of the Women’s Delhi Premier League 2026, securing a 6-wicket victory over Central Delhi Queens on Sunday at Arun Jaitley Stadium.
With 4 wins out of 5 matches, North Delhi Strikers hold the second position with a net run rate of 0.581. South Delhi Superstars, also with 4 wins, lead the table due to a superior net run rate of 1.818. Both Central Delhi Queens and East Delhi Riders have managed only 1 win from 5 matches and are out of the title race. All four teams will play their final league matches on September 1, after which North Delhi Strikers will face South Delhi Superstars in the final on September 2.
Batting first, Central Delhi Queens scored 122 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. They lost their first wicket at a score of 4, with Diksha Sharma (2) being dismissed early. Nidhi Mahto and Arushi Goyal then stabilized the innings, forming an 87-run partnership off 80 balls. Nidhi scored 49 runs off 47 balls, including 1 six and 5 fours, while Arushi contributed 43 runs off 46 balls with 5 fours. Monica added 19 runs to the total.
From the opposition, Nazma took 3 wickets for just 18 runs in 4 overs, and Apeksha Anand claimed 2 wickets. Shivani Jangid and Archana each took 1 wicket.
