New Delhi, October 7 (Daily Kiran) : Virat Kohli’s spokesperson has firmly rejected allegations made by Dinesh Sharma, known as ‘Falhari Maharaj,’ claiming that Kohli paid ₹5 crore for a visit to Vrindavan. The spokesperson stated that these claims are completely unfounded and false.
In an official statement, the spokesperson emphasized, “We want to make it clear that the allegations made by Dinesh Sharma regarding Virat Kohli are entirely false, baseless, and factually incorrect. Virat visits Premanand Maharaj out of deep faith and respect. We categorically deny these claims and urge the media to exercise caution and verify facts before reporting or spreading such information.”
Reports suggest that Falhari Maharaj claimed Kohli was compensated ₹5 crore during his first visit to Premanand Maharaj’s ashram in 2023, purportedly to enhance the Maharaj’s popularity. However, no evidence has emerged to support Sharma’s allegations.
Kohli, often seen visiting Premanand Maharaj with his wife, Anushka Sharma, has also made trips to the Neem Karoli Baba ashram. Notably, he met with Premanand Maharaj shortly after announcing his retirement from Test cricket.
Recently, Kohli was part of the Indian squad during the ODI series against the West Indies, where he delivered a remarkable performance in the first match, scoring an unbeaten 139 runs off 88 balls. This innings included a rapid century, marking his third-fastest in ODI history, and helped him surpass 15,000 runs in the format.
