VHP Calls for Immediate FIR in Ayodhya Temple Donation Case

New Delhi, June 25: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has taken a firm stance regarding the Ayodhya Ram Temple donation issue. Alok Kumar, the international president of VHP, stated that any misuse or embezzlement of funds donated by devotees to the Ram Temple is a direct affront to the faith of the Hindu community.

He demanded the immediate registration of an FIR and called for a fair and swift investigation into the matter. Kumar described the situation as deeply unfortunate and distressing. He noted that the preliminary report from the Special Investigation Team (SIT) indicated that some individuals may have misappropriated funds. Based on this, he insisted that there should be no further delay in filing the FIR.

Kumar expressed confidence that the FIR would be filed soon and that the police would investigate the matter seriously. He emphasized that the investigation should be conducted under the supervision of senior officials, who should also receive necessary technical and expert assistance.

He urged for a prompt conclusion to the investigation and for charges to be filed in a fast-track court on a daily basis. Kumar stated that if all guilty parties are punished and imprisoned within the next four to five months, it would bring satisfaction to the Hindu community.

When asked about including trustees in the FIR, Kumar refrained from naming anyone directly. He insisted that the entire system should be operated professionally. He suggested that individuals with administrative experience should be involved and that clear standard operating procedures (SOPs) should be established. Additionally, he called for a robust system to prevent any future misappropriation of Ramji’s assets. He expressed hope that the trust would take necessary steps in this direction soon.

On the political implications surrounding the Ram Temple issue, Kumar criticized opposition parties. He accused them of politicizing the matter with an eye on the 2027 elections. Kumar alleged that those parties that obstructed the construction of the Ram Temple, ordered firing on karsevaks, and have yet to apologize for their sacrifices are now trying to leverage this issue politically.

He remarked that some individuals even approached the Supreme Court, labeling Lord Ram as a fictional character. Kumar asserted that the struggle for the Ram Temple post-independence was not against the British or Muslims, but against the policies of the Congress and the Samajwadi Party. He claimed that the public is increasingly aware and that the Hindu community will never forgive those trying to exploit this issue for political gain.

Regarding the prominent names associated with the trust, Kumar stated that the investigation has not even begun, and no FIR has been filed yet. Therefore, he insisted that all accused should be investigated fairly. He mentioned that he personally knows Champat Rai and Dr. Anil Mishra, considering them dedicated and emotional individuals. However, he clarified that the decision on whether they should resign rests with them. He stressed that there should be no pressure on the police and that if the investigation is conducted honestly, the truth will undoubtedly emerge.
