New Delhi, 6 December (Daily Kiran) – The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has accused suspended West Bengal MLA Humayun Kabir from Murshidabad district of disrespecting the unanimous Supreme Court verdict on the Ram Janmabhoomi temple by laying the foundation stone of the Babri Masjid. VHP claims that Kabir is conspiring to incite violence in West Bengal using the mosque issue as a pretext.

VHP national spokesperson Vinod Bansal said on Saturday in an exclusive statement that it has not even been nine months since attacks on minority Hindus in Murshidabad, yet Humayun Kabir is attempting to create tension in the name of the Babri Masjid. He alleged that Kabir is trying to inflame religious sentiments, mobilize extremist elements, and spoil the atmosphere for political gain.

Bansal warned that if any attack on Hindus takes place under the guise of the Babri issue, the responsibility will lie directly with Humayun Kabir, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, and the state administration. He emphasized that the Supreme Court’s verdict on Ram Janmabhoomi is the final truth and any attempt to defy it and spread unrest will not be tolerated.

He further stated that Bengal is already affected by illegal infiltration and extremist activities, and Kabir’s move poses a serious threat to law and order in the state. Bansal demanded strict and immediate action from the state government, stressing that the faith of millions must not be used as a political tool.

The VHP spokesperson also appealed to the Governor and the Union Home Ministry to intervene and stop such “disturbing attempts” before the situation worsens. Security has been increased in the Beldanga area, and authorities are closely monitoring the situation.
