Lucknow, September 11 (Daily Kiran) : The Uttar Pradesh government is actively working to improve the efficiency of its education workforce through a new initiative called Mission Karmayogi. This program aims to foster a culture of continuous learning among personnel in the basic and secondary education departments. As part of this initiative, all officials and staff are required to complete at least two designated courses.
Priority will be given to those employees who have not yet completed any courses or have incomplete training. According to the directives from the Director General of School Education, Monica Rani, office heads are also expected to complete these courses and ensure that their subordinates fulfill their training requirements. This approach emphasizes extending departmental training beyond higher offices to reach schools directly.
Mission Karmayogi represents a significant step towards enhancing the skills and efficiency of education personnel. Dr. Mukesh Chandra, the director of the State Institute of Educational Technology (SIET) and the nodal officer for basic education under Mission Karmayogi, has identified six courses for staff convenience. These include topics such as “Screen Time Management and Digital Lifestyle,” “English Vocabulary: Commonly Misused and Confused Words,” “Effective Teaching Methods for Pre-Primary Level,” “Yoga Break at Workplace,” “Stress Management,” and “Basics of Project Management.”
The selection of these courses covers various aspects, including digital lifestyle, effective teaching, stress management, and workplace skills. This initiative provides employees with opportunities to develop new knowledge and skills relevant to their roles. Staff who have not completed any courses or have incomplete training will be given priority, with office heads responsible for ensuring timely completion.
The Yogi government views this culture of learning as a foundation for better implementation of educational policies. Through Mission Karmayogi, personnel are encouraged to continuously update their skills in response to changing needs. The directives also aim to disseminate training-related messages to school levels, ensuring participation from both officials and staff. This will help connect human resources across departmental offices and schools in a unified capacity-building process.
Sandeep Singh, the Minister of State for Basic Education, emphasized that the Yogi government prioritizes strengthening the education system while enhancing the efficiency and capacity of its human resources. Through Mission Karmayogi, employees are provided with ongoing opportunities for learning and skill development, which are essential for effectively implementing government education policies.
Monica Rani reiterated that the continuous capacity development of departmental personnel is being accelerated through Mission Karmayogi. The aim is for every employee to complete the required training and integrate this learning into their work, especially for those who have yet to finish their training.
