Bhopal, September 10 (Daily Kiran) : The Madhya Pradesh government is taking swift action to announce nursing exam results for eligible students, prompted by recent directives from the High Court. This decision comes in light of irregularities reported across nursing colleges in the state.
Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, who oversees the Health and Medical Education Department, convened a meeting with senior officials at the state secretariat on Thursday. He instructed them to complete all necessary formalities within the stipulated time frame to ensure that deserving students receive their results without further delay.
Following the meeting, Shukla emphasized, “The welfare of students is paramount. All required processes must be completed on time, as per the High Court’s orders, to avoid any issues for eligible students.”
He directed officials to promptly inform the relevant institutions and coordinate with the Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University for the timely release of results. Shukla also highlighted the importance of avoiding unnecessary delays in the process, considering the academic future of the students.
This initiative by the state government follows a lengthy legal battle concerning nursing colleges that were found lacking in meeting established regulations. Allegations against these institutions include deficiencies in infrastructure, faculty, and other essential requirements.
Recently, the High Court issued several directives regarding students enrolled in colleges categorized as compliant and non-compliant. These directives include transferring students to institutions that adhere to regulations, conducting examinations, and announcing results.
The court made it clear that students who have been shifted to compliant colleges and who have fulfilled the necessary academic and practical requirements should not suffer due to the shortcomings of their previous institutions.
Officials were also instructed to ensure that any deficiencies in teaching or practical training are addressed appropriately so that students can meet the required academic standards.
Shukla further directed the department to take necessary steps to connect students from non-compliant colleges with proper institutions wherever needed, in accordance with regulations.
He stated, “Necessary actions must be prioritized, keeping in mind the court’s orders, departmental regulations, and the interests of the students.”
The meeting was attended by Public Health and Medical Education Commissioner Dhanraju S., Madhya Pradesh Nursing Registration Council Registrar Upendra Dhote, and other department officials. Representatives from the Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University participated via video conference.
