
New Delhi, September 2: A two-day ‘Water Manthan’ program for water resource ministers from BJP-ruled states commenced on Wednesday in the national capital. The event featured a special meeting and dinner hosted by BJP National President Nitin Naveen, attended by all water resource ministers from BJP-led states.
Following a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the workshop on ‘Developed India’ was inaugurated at Nitin Naveen’s residence. The discussions focused on various water management issues between the central and state governments.
Central Water Power Minister D.R. Patil was also present at the meeting. Additionally, BJP National Organization General Secretary B.L. Santosh and National Vice President Vinay Sahasrabuddhe participated in the discussions.
According to BJP sources, a significant meeting of water power ministers will be held on Thursday at the party’s central office, chaired by Nitin Naveen. All water resource ministers from BJP-ruled states are expected to attend.
During the meeting, separate sessions will be organized on topics such as irrigation systems, water management, groundwater conservation, water security, and improved utilization of water resources. These sessions aim to share experiences and successful models from various states to enhance coordination in water conservation and management.
BJP leadership believes that effective management and conservation of water resources are crucial for achieving the goal of a developed India. This program is organized to facilitate discussions among ministers and experts from different states.
After the meeting, all state water resource ministers attended a dinner hosted by Nitin Naveen before departing for their residences. This two-day event is seen as a significant step towards strengthening coordination between the center and states in the water sector.
