Lucknow, September 30 (Daily Kiran) : The Uttar Pradesh government, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has launched a significant initiative aimed at transforming PM Shri schools into vibrant centers of education and community involvement. In November, 1,565 PM Shri schools will host the ‘My Village-My School’ program, backed by a financial allocation of ₹46.95 lakh.
This initiative seeks to foster connections between PM Shri schools and local communities, enhancing parental engagement and providing a platform for children’s talents. By partnering schools with families and village communities, the program aims to strengthen the educational framework through social cooperation.
The ‘My Village-My School’ program will engage parents, school management committee members, local representatives, retired officials, teachers, and other influential community members. By bringing these stakeholders together, the initiative aims to enrich children’s education, enrollment, retention, and learning processes.
During the event, the community will receive information about school activities and various educational programs. Activities will include rallies, skits, storytelling, exhibitions of posters and artwork, and sports competitions. Additionally, campaigns for signatures and selfie points will encourage active participation from children, parents, and the community. Outstanding students will be recognized by guests, fostering enthusiasm and confidence in achievements.
A signature campaign supporting children’s rights will also be conducted, raising awareness among parents and the village community about children’s education and protection. Sandeep Singh, the Minister of State for Basic Education, emphasized that connecting PM Shri schools with the community is a government priority. Through the ‘My Village-My School’ program, schools, parents, and village communities will collaboratively lay a strong foundation for children’s bright futures.
Monika Rani, Director General of School Education, stated that collaboration between schools and communities will energize children’s education. The program will promote children’s talents and provide opportunities for learning and growth through various activities.
